DelfMEMS is the pioneer in the development and production of outstanding performance radio frequency micro-electro-mechanical systems (RF MEMS) switches targeting next generation multi-standard/multi- mode mobile telephony applications.

The company is near to engage into production and deals with Tier One Mobile Phone module makers. We are looking to further strengthen our team, with 10 new hires planned for 2014.

In this context, DelfMEMS have opened a position for a RF Application Engineer to join a growing designer’s team.

OVERVIEW

DelfMEMS is seeking an experienced RF design engineer with expertise in RF simulations, RF testing & troubleshooting, RF module and test board design targeting our RF front-end component development. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and part of a world-class engineering team developing RF MEMS switching components for fast paced and high-volume cellular market. Candidate will have excellent opportunities to innovate in a startup environment and participate in all phases of product development from definition to production support.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required with at least 5 years of related experience. MS is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in RF switches design or RF multi-chip module (MCM) design including matching networks to support integrated front end module designs.
  • Hands on experience in RF MCM artwork, EM simulation and lab debug and tuning.
  • Good understanding of RF systems and familiarity with cellular standards
  • Solid understanding of basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability.
  • Solid understanding of device and process technologies
  • Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS or ANSYS designer and 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum, Sonnet or HFSS.
  • Strong lab skills in RF debug and product characterization
  • Knowledge and relevant experience in MEMS technology and components is a plus.
  • A self-starter and team player with strong desire to learn on the job.
  • Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production
  • Good level in English and at least conversational French
